Skype

Brief: Show why Skype is better than a phone. Why is it better? Because you can make international and video calls for free, using an internet connection. We have devised a print and ambient media campaign playing on this thought of. Freedom of Speech, Worldwide.

This final image is a demonstration of how this campaign could be used in an ambient way. The interactive billboard would contain an LCD screen and a live Skype connection, linking it too another Skype billboard in Australia. Demonstrating the constant free connection to speak to the world through Skype.

Cornetto Celebs

This brief was for the ice cream Cornetto. The brief was to encourage more people to share and enjoy Cornetto this summer, in a cheeky, off the cuff way. We chose to use current celebrity feuds, to show that Cornetto could bring them closer together and make them into the best of friends.

Update on life.

Apologies (to all 3 of the followers) for no posts for a while. We have been taken out of university and straight into the world of advertising. We are on placement at the moment in a great agency in Manchester, having a ball.

Myself and Tom are off to London this week to show some work in the D&AD New Blood Exhibition. We are showing our Guardian, E4 work and a bit we did for Connect by Hertz..

very much looking forward to it.

Been wondering a few things about the world cup recently.
1. Why are England so shit?

2. Why Panini claim to make equal amounts of every world cup sticker?

Breakneck Baxter

Another part of our graduation project here. A little bit different. The brief was to create a marker for Sky Broadband and create a playful shiny campaign! So let us introduce Breakneck Baxter. He's the snail bored of going slow. Snail by day, daredevil by night he will do anything to go faster. He'll put his life on the line. If only he knew how easy it was to go fast with Sky Broadband.

If you have thoroughly enjoyed our E4 ads then enjoy them in higher quality on that youtube.

E4 Monday Night Movies

Finally we have attempted to film some adverts for our graduation project. We have done a campaign of spoof adverts for E4's Monday Night Movies. The idea was to basically take some epic films and completely remove all emotion with some dolls. We think it's hilarious.

Best Advert Ever?

If you weren't already insanely excited about the World Cup then you definitely will be after this. Well done nike, i love you.

Guardian Zeitgeist

Brief: Produce a series of print images to promote the Guardians online Zeitgeist application, and encourage more use of the Guardian's website. The Zeitgeist is an application that picks out the most popular stories of the day and colour codes them for easy use.

One of our favourite campaigns we've done so far. Part of our Uni Graduation project which is slowly becoming the most stressful thing ever.

It's Been a While...

Haven't updated the old blog in a while due to immense amounts of university work. Currently doing our last ever project before we graduate and become men. Here's a quick idea we had for an ambient lynx piece. We aren't going to use this, so should probably get back to work....

Peperami Bitesize, Continued.

Again this our our AWARD WINNING Peperami idea. We have developed more obvious campaign and drawn up some much nicer visuals to go with it. Enjoy.

BJL Lowry Brief

We have recently won a place on the D&AD Workshops in Manchester thanks to the piece above which is advertising the Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Show at the Lowry. The piece is basically visual communication of songs on the Sgt. Peppers album. We'll put some lovely colour on these when we get some time.

Lastminute.com

D&AD competition brief - encourage people to do more "good stuff" using lastminute.com

Our idea was to use LCD framed images of exciting "stuff" that lastminute can provide, then use a digital camera place the viewer into all the situations. The framed images would move, and the viewer can interact and play with the images. The main idea, is that the frames and images are there to provoke memories, and show you what your living might look like with the help of lastminute.com

Direct Mail: Skype

A little direct mail piece for Skype we did early in our advertising career. The brief was to show why Skype is better than a phone. As you can see, this is an ingenious piece...

Super Purple Monkey Brew For Sale

Super Purple Monkey Brew

In one of our latest projects, we were challenged to be two week entrepreneurs. We had to create a product, brand it, then flog it to make as much profit as possible. Very similar to BBC's "the apprentice" but with less time restrictions, nobody getting fired, no Margaret or Nick, no Sugar, no cameras or a beautiful receptionist.

Myself and Dave decided to brew and sell our own unique brand of beer. We purchased the highest quality beer making kit from Wilkinsons, and began the 12 day of brewing.

Introducing SuperPurpleMonkeyBrew
A 6-8% strong pale lager with a hint of fruitiness and Ribena. The perfect drink to accompany beef, pork or fish meal.

An absolute steal at £2.00 a bottle, SuperPurpleMonkeyBrew sold out in under 30 minutes.
